JAY Maher
Founder & Principal
Jay Maher has spent his life around building. It started with the first porch his parents put on the family house — he just liked the process. Since then he’s renovated and flipped houses, helped friends and family with new builds, built his own houses, and project-managed multimillion-dollar luxury homes.
He’s spent 31 years owning and operating the Ala Kai Resort in Wildwood Crest. He was COO and co-owner of a fireplace design-build company in Colorado. And he ran business operations for a residential construction company, where he replaced Excel with Procore and rebuilt their operating systems.
He’s doing it this way because he loves the work — and he’d rather build something of his own than go back to working for someone else.
Through J. Maher LLC, he works as an owner’s representative and development consultant in Wildwood Crest and Cape May County — the experienced person in the owner’s corner, from concept to closeout.
